Taste Experience of Britannia Cake Gobbles Milky Masti

While opening the pack, I can sense a strong milk aroma. After taking out a cake slice, the aroma is different. I can sense mixed aroma which includes a strong milk aroma, mild vanilla and mild egg aroma.

The treat is rectangular in shape, the outer layer is  brown in colour and the inside treat is mild white in colour. The top surface of the treat is raised slightly and the bottom of the treat looks flat. Outer layer of the treat has some small pores and  it is easily visible to the naked eye.

On touching the outer layer of the  treat, some baked particles stick to the fingers. When picking up, the treat feels comfy. The texture of cake delivers some slight roughness while touching. When pressing the cake in fingers, it is spongy and easily divided into different sizes.

The cake smoothly gets cut on biting. After the treat touches our tongue, it is dry and quickly delivers a sweet feel in the  tongue. The treat is easy to chew and one  can easily feel the taste of milk. The milk taste is felt in the tongue when chewing, cake quickly melts in the mouth.

After eating, a sweet feel is present in the tongue for a few minutes  besides some slight waxy feel for a few seconds. The waxy feel is cleared by rinsing the mouth.

Britannia Cake Gobbles Milky Masti’s Packaging

Primary packaging is the plastic tray which holds the cakes. The recycle number is not mentioned on the pack, which helps us to know the material used for packaging. Here, it is a lightweight and transparent plastic tray. This packaging prevents the treats from breaking  during handling. Also keeps the cake in a neat manner for easy packaging and for presentation.

The secondary packaging  prevents the treat from  damages from outside the pack. This pack also delivers necessary information to consumers. This pack acts as a barrier between treat and outer environment. The packaging number present in the pack is recycle number 7 which is the ‘other’ category of polymers. It keeps the treat fresh for a long time and protects the pack  from heat, moisture content and insects.

The company illustrated a man throwing the pack into the dustbin; it means an empty pack should be thrown into the dustbin after consuming the treat.

Other Breakdowns in Britannia Cake Gobbles Milky Masti

Milky Masti name and Milk splash illustration!!!
Didn’t that give us curiosity to know how much milk is added to the Cake?
The Gobbles cake contains milk, added in the form of milk solids. The milk solids are present about 2.8 % which is 2.8 grams per 100 grams of cake.
Can you believe 2.8% milk solids give such a strong flavour? If 2.8% milk solids can’t, then what is the possibility?
Well, you may have guessed it! Yes, it’s from the artificial flavouring added to the cake. The artificial flavourings added are milk and vanilla which increase the flavour profile without considering the amount of the ingredients added.

Why are hydrogenated oils used here?
To mimic the mouthfeel and the experience, when we use egg or butter . Also the cost of the cake would go high, when we depend on butter. So, a hydrogenated version of oil is added to give taste experience similar to fat from butter but at a reduced cost. This is the reason that hydrogenated vegetable oil is used in Cake Gobbles.
